Declines were especially notable in Hong Kong and South Korea, with benchmarks down more than 1% on local narratives. Poor Korean earnings weighed on the Kospi Index, while increasing concern about protests hit Hong Kong real estate and transport operators. Japanese and Chinese shares saw more modest declines. Futures on the S&P 500 dipped after the index closed at a fresh record high Friday. Two-year Treasury yields are around their average for the month ahead of the anticipated Fed rate cut.
